SOTA Supports KIVA

As a company, we donate as part of our service commitment. One of our favorite places to donate is an organization called KIVA. When we contribute to KIVA, a banking system created to loan smaller sums in developing countries, we give individuals who don’t qualify for loans from major banks, “the power to create opportunity for themselves and others.”

As a non-profit banking system, KIVA allows those who contribute funds to lend money to individuals who have applied for loans. Those who apply may need funds for farming, food products, other business ventures, education or the arts. Once a loan has been paid back into the lender’s KIVA account, the lender has the opportunity to once again choose from a list of those who have applied for loans.

Loans are for amounts from $25.00 upwards. There are no administration costs on the loans as KIVA raises funds to pay these costs. For more information, check:

We have one person on our team who chooses the loans to make, and all of us look forward to her email listing all the people we have helped to make their life a little better. We wanted to share this with all of you, because each of our customers also plays a role in helping these people.

The SOTA Team is enriched knowing we are touching lives for the better all over the world.
